BLUNA SPINA
A fully integrated environment that connects the spaces of the home, eliminating the boundary between kitchen and living room. By using Pillat columns—vertical functional and storage units—each area remains open yet protected, much like an open theatrical space.
Two innovative materials define the composition: on one side, 4.0 lacquer with a metallic finish that covers the columns and enhances the modern aesthetic of the whole; on the other side, black wood from reclaimed aged fir, used for the island and presented as a single cohesive element.
This wood is primarily recovered from the exterior claddings of farmhouses and tabiàs—homes and barns commonly found in Trentino-Alto Adige and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The wood is reborn through cleaning, filling, and meticulous technical craftsmanship. Its unique appearance and shades are entirely shaped by natural exposure to the elements—sun, snow, rain, and wind—making each piece truly one of a kind.
Another standout feature is the innovative Spiga worktop made of Gres material. The 30° chamfer on both the doors and the worktop creates a refined gap, highlighting a new, functional aesthetic.
On the island, the difference lies in the detail of the Bluna doors with a 30° profile, crafted in premium old black fir wood with finish. The Spiga worktop features a matte Gres Marble Grey finish.

The idea of a pleasant and welcoming space lies at the heart of this project: a square-shaped island takes center stage in an undeniably commanding way. The square form evokes a sense of comfort, acting as an element around which one can move freely and spend each day with complete serenity—values further reinforced by the addition of a table that enhances opportunities for gathering.
The columns and wall units feature doors that extend 15 cm beyond the structure, breaking the monotony of repetitive fronts while also allowing for a comfortable grip. The open areas highlight balance and simultaneously create a bookshelf or simply a cone of light.
The materials used evoke a classic aesthetic—a dual-layer Pietra Piasentina material is combined with Rovere Grigio Londra oak wood. Completing the environment is a living wall that reflects the same materials as the kitchen, enriched by Reflex wall units that add illumination, along with staggered designs that bring a beautiful sense of dynamism. In the background, a dining table and low columns further enhance the composition.

A project that allows you to rediscover the pleasure of living in a rich and warm kitchen environment. A truly professionally inspired workspace, equipped with all the accessories and tools needed for food preparation, as well as details of a refined decorative product that further expands Binova’s already extensive range of exclusive worktops.
The materiality of natural wood offers a pleasant aesthetic and tactile sensation. The column doors in technological aluminum finish are combined with base and wall units in Rovere Carbone oak wood finish—a combination of high-tech materials that contribute to the creation of a truly unique product.
A large peninsula serves as a junction between the column area and the living space. The entire project focuses on the concept of mirrored openings: if the kitchen features a central wooden axis, the columns include a central compartment suitable for storing small appliances, while the living room wall showcases central glass units and wooden back panels.
